We at FUKUSHIMA GALILEI CO. LTD. started out with the manufacture of commercial refrigerators and freezers as well as showcases, and our growth has been centered around our cooling technology. The history of the Galilei Group began when its founder, Nobuo Fukushima, standardized and started manufacturing Japan’s first commercial refrigerators. With the post-war proliferation of supermarket-style stores and the expansion of the food service industry, we have continued to support the food infrastructure.
In an effort to be a Happiness Creation Company, we have declared “four rules of happiness” as our corporate philosophy.
As one of the rules, we have declared that in order to respond to changes taking place in our society, such as increased awareness of environmental protection and food safety, it is our mission to work with customers to contribute to consumers’ happiness, with the environment, safety, and peace of mind being the theme of the collaboration.
Decarbonization efforts have been accelerated around the world. We at the GALILEI Group have developed the environmental vision, Dramatic Future 2050, ahead of 2051 when we will celebrate our 100th anniversary. We will rise to the challenge of achieving net zero greenhouse gas emissions.
We are committed to diligently fulfilling our corporate social responsibility by improving the quality of consumers’ eating habits and bringing happiness to them while being friendly to the environment.
We hope to be pioneers in the future of food and life.
We have put many meanings into the term “life” which include our efforts to promote good health and longevity through food, our medical science operations in the fields of medical, physical, and chemical science, the extension of best before dates and the reduction of food loss using our rapid freezing and cooling technology, and the protection of the life of the earth through the environmental vision, Dramatic Future 2050.
We have added the “life” aspect to our existing business field, “food,” and we are determined to explore new possibilities.
